New technical director at Meantime IT

Meantime IT, the Kendal-based bespoke software developer, has appointed Steve Parker as its technical director.

Steve has been with Meantime since 2004 in the capacity of lead developer, and Meantime’s managing director Fenner Pearson says it was a natural progression to appoint him as director and confirm his position of influence within the company.

“Operationally nothing will change”, says Fenner. “Appointing Steve as director simply allows clients to afford him the same level of responsibility I have been doing for years. He is a key decision maker within Meantime, and this new position we’ve created for him recognises that.”

Meantime was formed by managing director Fenner Pearson in 2004, and his passionate belief that IT systems can and should be delivered on time, on budget and to the exact specification of the client has driven the company’s growth in the last six years. The company, which has clients including global blue-chip companies, national government departments, local authorities and SMEs, has now grown to such an extent that it has become necessary to formalise Steve's position.

Steve’s new position will see him shoulder more responsibility for the day to day technical operations within Meantime, giving Fenner the ability to forge new client relationships.

Says Steve: “I hope to equip myself with the same outstanding reputation Fenner’s come to command, whilst building on the strong company ethos which already exists at Meantime. This is the ultimitate career goal for me, and one that I’ve been working towards for many years. It’s great to have my loyalty and worth recognised, and the trust that’s been put in me will be repaid with the loyalty I’ve demonstrated from the outset.”
