New year, new life at Meantime

At Meantime, we always look forward to this time of year. It’s not only because we all get together in one of the many fine eating establishments our corner of Cumbria has to offer - this year, Romney’s in Kendal did the Christmas lunch honours. And it’s not just because we get to do it all again with our clients (see you Friday 20th, Brewery Arts Centre, 5-8pm, drinks on us. Cheers!). We love all that, but what gets us excited is looking forward to the new year and anticipating what new life will be breathed into IT.

One of us has taken that rather literally this year. Technical director Steve Parker surprised us all this week with the news he and his lovely wife Claire are expecting their second baby in June. We’re all thrilled and can’t wait to meet the new Meantime arrival.

Resident app expert Paul has been creating a baby of his own, but his is much more app-shaped. Not content with creating the JukePi from his favourite toy, the Raspberry Pi, he’s taken it one step further and is in the final stages of the JukePi mobile app. At the same time, he’s casually just created a whole internet community of JukePi fans, having opensourced his RaspberryPi program. That man could make an aircraft control system out of a ZX Spectrum. In fact, now we’ve given him the idea he probably will.

We’re all looking forward to spending some quality time with our families this Christmas, but before we do we’re going to do some serious socialising with you lot. It’s our Christmas party on Friday 20th December at the Warehouse Café in the Brewery Arts Centre, Kendal, whom we’re very proud to sponsor this year. We’ll be there from 5-8pm, awaiting your presence with drinks, snacks and a very warm welcome.

See you there!

Because everything we build is bespoke, you might not see exactly what you need. If that’s the case please get in touch. We'd be happy to discuss how we can help you to take the first step to cutting costs and growing beyond all expectations.
