A year of working hard and playing hard

The latter half of this year has been very busy here at Meantime HQ. We’ve been awarded the ISO27001 certificate, which took a huge amount of planning and resources, but now means we’re one of just a small number of organisations in the UK who have this prestigious IT security standard.

In November, we went to Barcelona for the Airport IT conference, which also required a lot of manpower but was totally worth it as we’ve received some great feedback and leads. Fenner’s been invited to speak at a similar conference in Amsterdam in March; here’s what he had to say to the delegates in Barcelona.

Outside of the office, our team haven’t been resting on their laurels. Developer Ronnie has started his own community 5k running event, which will be held every week in Williamson Park, Lancaster (http://www.parkrun.org.uk/). Designer Lou has spent every spare weekend on the open seas on her 29 foot Dufour yacht, and can usually be found bobbing along the west coast of Scotland on the Kyles of Bute.

Our resident rugby player Jack drags himself onto a muddy field with 29 other men every weekend, which he assures us is great fun. We’ll take his word for it. Anyway, his commitment hasn’t gone unrewarded, as he and his team-mates are currently top of the Northern Division North One West league. What a sporty lot we are.

So that brings us to the end of another fast-paced, fun-packed year, here in our very own little corner of Cumbria. We hope you’ve enjoyed it as much as we have, and wish you all the very best for a merry Christmas and prosperous New Year.

Because everything we build is bespoke, you might not see exactly what you need. If that’s the case please get in touch. We'd be happy to discuss how we can help you to take the first step to cutting costs and growing beyond all expectations.
